The purpose of this study was to explore the design principles necessary to facilitate online discussions in corporate education settings. In preparation for this study, previous studies on online discussions were examined. A variety of discussion learning models were also explored such as the general discussion model(Hill’s model), debate-focused models(Debate Model), small group discussion models(Buzz Learning Mode, Jigsaw Cooperative Learning), and value judgment and reasoning-based models(Kohlberg’s debate model, CEDA model). Implications were then provided for designing online discussion for business training, according to learner characteristics, facilitator roles, design issues and technology.

본 연구는 기업교육에서 온라인 토론을 촉진하기 위한 설계원리를 탐색하기 위하여 일반적인 토론 및 온라인 토론에 대한 개념, 그리고 기존에 연구되어진 토론학습모형들에 제시된 토론 관련 특징들을 고찰하고, 이를 바탕으로 기업교육에 온라인 토론을 적용하기 위하여 고려해야 할 주요 원리들을 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 토론학습모형으로 일반토론모형, 논쟁중심모형, 소집단중심모형, 가치판단 및 추론중심 모형들을 고찰하였다. 토론학습모형들에 대한 고찰을 기반으로 기업교육에서 온라인 토론을 활성화하기 위한 설계 과제들을 학습자 특성, 교수자 역할, 상호작용 설계 특성을 고려하여 제시하였다.
