The teenage years is the decisive period in the set up of life direction. In this sense, providing Christian religious education for teens living the Christian life has a very important meaning for people working in the Christian educational field. However, it is hard to find faith education in current Christian family. The first reason for this problem is that the church and family education is separated. Also, families have transferred all faith education to the church, not understanding that the family is the place for faith education. Furthermore, the church has not fulfilled its responsibility in the role of faith education for the family. The church should be able to offer answers to the parents who have teenaged children. Moreover, the family and church should cooperate in Christian education for teens. That is, the church should provide good programs for families. Families need to provide the church with information about the children's and family's circumstances and then the parents along with the church must work together in cooperation to decide on Christian educational needs based on that information. Developing the direction of teen Christian education and strategy is the most important task. Therefore, this study aims to find a new way in responding to the demands and changes for teen Christian education. For this purpose, detailed alternatives for faith education for families are needed. In this context, this study will propose a faith education direction plan linking families and the church. First of all, teen Christian education should overcome the separation of church and family education, and faith education in the family should be restored. The church also should help in restoring parent education and family education. Thus, faith education should be provided in the family and church which are both educational bodies of God. With this type of educational direction, teens will be able to experience the development of their self identity that is fostered through faith.

청소년기는 인생 방향을 결정하는 매우 중요한 시기이다. 이런 의미에서 청소년을 위한 기독교 신앙교육은 그리스도인으로서 삶을 살아가고 일꾼들을 길러낼 수 있는 매우 중요한 교육적 의미를 갖는다. 그러나 현대의 기독교인 가정에서 신앙교육은 거의 전무한 것이 현실이다. 그 이유는 첫째, 청소년 신앙교육의 문제점은 가정과 교회교육의 분리에 있다. 둘째, 가정이 신앙교육의 장임을 깨닫지 못하고 자녀의 신앙교육을 교회로 이관한 것이다. 셋째, 교회에서 기독교 가정교육의 역할을 하여야 하는데 그 책임을 다하지 못하는 것이 현실이다. 교회는 청소년 자녀를 둔 부모들에게 해답을 줄 수 있어야 한다. 그리고 가정과 교회는 신앙교육의 동반자 관계로 자녀교육을 위해 협력을 하여야 한다. 즉, 교회는 가정에 좋은 프로그램을 제공해주어야 한다. 가정은 교회에 교육상황의 자료를 제공하여 가정교육을 위해 상호협력 하여야 한다. 청소년 기독교 신앙교육의 방향과 교육의 전략을 개발하는 것은 매우 중요한 과제이다. 그러므로 본 연구는 청소년교육에 대한 시대적인 요청과 상황의 변화를 수용하면서 새로운 방향을 찾는데 목적이 있다. 이 목적을 위해 기독교 가정의 신앙교육을 위한 구체적인 대안을 마련할 필요가 있다. 이러한 맥락에서 가정과 교회가 함께 연계하는 기독교 신앙교육의 방안을 제시할 것이다. 청소년의 신앙교육은 첫째, 가정과 교회교육의 분리를 극복하고 가정교육이 함께 회복되어야 한다. 둘째, 교회가 부모교육과 가정교육이 회복될 수 있도록 도와야 할 것이다. 따라서 하나님의 교육기관인 가정과 교회에서 신앙교육이 함께 이루어져야 한다. 이로 인하여 청소년들은 자아정체성을 확립하는 신앙으로 발달해 나가는 성장을 경험하게 될 것이다.
