The purpose of this study is to investigate on the arguments of integrated character education based on the Teaching Models of Moral Inquiry and develop the direction of elementary school moral education. The one of main directions of the 2007 revision moral curriculum as a the emphasis of moral inquiry has been influenced on the theory and practice of moral education that have turned to raise student's moral judgement based on the teaching models of value inquiry education, It, however, particularly has contributed to develop student's moral judgement ability because teaching models of value inquiry education are categorized of principle ethic. Therefore We should develop not only the teaching plan of moral education in terms of moral rational standards, but also the method of moral judgemental ability through narrative approach. Furthermore, We should supply students for their learning of moral problem solving approach and it's related skills or abilities to improve the moral judgemental ability. Finally, Practice friendly teaching model of moral inquiry should be developed by referring to the empirical results of effectiveness of the teaching models of value inquiry education for integrated character education.

본 연구의 목적은 도덕적 탐구 수업 모형에 근거한 통합적 인격교육의 쟁점을 살피고 개선방향을 모색하는 것이다. 도덕적 탐구중심의 2007 개정 도덕과 교육의 개정 방향은 다양한 ‘가치탐구 수업 모형에 기반 한 도덕 판단력 함양의 수업’의 이론정립과 실천에 영향을 주었다. 하지만 가치탐구 수업 모형의 윤리학적 토대가 원칙의 윤리이기 때문에 실천지 함양을 통한 도덕적 판단력 함양에 부분적으로 기여한다. 가치탐구 수업 모형의 합리성 준거를 유의하며 도덕적 탐구수업을 계획해야 하며 이야기 수업 모형을 활용한 도덕적 판단력 함양 방안이 모색되어야 한다. 또한 학습자관점에서의 문제해결학습 전략과 기술에 대한 학습이 필요하며 수업 모형의 실제 효과성을 분석하여 초등학교의 현장 친화적 가치탐구 수업 모형으로 개선해야한다.
