The purpose of this study is to develop an Leamer-centered Teaching-Learning Model model designed for career education. A radical change of the learning contents, teaching methods and evaluations is needed in producing human being who can adapt themselves in the 21st century's s social changes and lead the innovations and the media play major role in learning methods and materials. In field of career education, media as a learning medium draw increasing attentions according to changes of paradigm. The contents of the study were as follows. First, the concept of media education and education type using media were examined. When applied to a media career education, to exploring the concept of media education and education type using media have the character of the basic data to investigate the type of career education using the media. Second, previous studies utilized the media in career education were analyzed. Through the analysis of previous studies, utilizing the media in career education what are the effects and the issues were investigated. Based on the implications obtained through analysis of previous studies, media teaching - learning styles were developed. Third, The styles of teaching and learning based on ASSURE model were developed. ASSURE model is an instructional design model based on the media, and gives specific guidelines to using the media in career education. In this study, career education teaching-learning type using the media based on the ASSURE model has been developed.

진로 교육에 있어서 중요한 것은 학습자들이 다양한 진로 현상을 직접 보고, 듣고, 경험할 수 있는 경험의 장을 제공하는 것이다. 하지만 지금까지의 진로 교육은 지루한 주입식 교육, 암기 위주의 교육이라는 비판을 받아오고 있다. 미디어를 이용한 진로 교육은 학습자로 하여금 시간과 공간의 제약을 넘어 생동감 있는 경험의 장을 제공해 줄 수 있다는 점에 있어서 좋은 대안이 될 수 있다. 이에 이 연구에서는 미디어를 진로 교육에 활용할 수 있는 방안에 대해서 탐색하였다. 그 구체적 내용은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 미디어의 개념과 미디어를 활용한 학습 유형에 대해서 고찰하였다. 미디어를 진로교육에 적용하는데 있어 미디어의 개념과 미디어를 활용한 학습 유형을 고찰함은 미디어를 활용한 진로교육 방안을 탐색함에 있어서 기초 자료로서의 성격을 가지고 있다. 둘째, 진로교육에서 미디어가 활용된 선행 연구를 분석하였다. 선행 연구 분석을 통해 진로 교육에서 미디어를 활용함에 있어 그 효과와 문제점이 무엇인지 살펴보고 여기에서 얻은 시사점을 바탕으로 이 연구에서 미디어를 활용한 교수-학습 유형을 개발함에 있어 참고하였다. 셋째, ASSURE모형에 근거한 교수-학습 유형을 개발하였다. ASSURE모형은 매체를 기본으로 한 수업 설계 모형으로 미디어를 진로 교육에 활용한 데 있어서 구체적 가이드 라인을 제공해 주고 있다. 이에 이 연구에서도 ASSURE모형에 근거하여 미디어를 활용한 진로 교육 교수-학습 유형을 개발하였다.
