초록
영어
Recently, when observing many different management environments, the demand for a leader with a strong charisma and a vision is desperate from many companies. The leadership which fulfills these characteristics are transformational and transactional leadership. In Korea, after the IMF crisis, there has been a generation change consequently shifting the culture and outcome of the organization and the leadership style which affects it. Thus there is a need to research these relationships. The connection between the independent and dependent variable were observed. As independent variables, transformational and transactional leadership has been chosen. Dependent variables were job satisfaction and organizational commitment. And as for moderating effects, age and rank were considered to examine how these elements can influence the overall relation. The analysis of the experiment showed that transformational and transactional leadership both had a positive impact upon job satisfaction and organizational commitment therefore all of the hypothesis I has been selected. As for hypothesis II, age did affect both leadership styles and job satisfaction but the rank has been rejected concluding it to select only part of the hypothesis. Age has been considered a component which effects the leadership, job satisfaction and organizational commitment which deduce to a conclusion that leaders should show interest in the age difference to figure out and solve their wants. Leaders should also acknowledge that this understanding can greatly contribute to the company.
