The comparison of unit structure in the nativelanguage textbook of Korea, China, Japan- focus on the 1st of middle school - Wang Xiao-cheng Textbook is a particular educational criteria and materials that facilitate implement curriculum systematically in the background of real classroom situation. The importance of a native language textbook is not only in its language educational dimension, but also for its containing value and meaning. Among lots of countries, Korea, China and Japan, all of which belong to Chinese character culture area, are similar in geography, history and culture, and under the school system, there are all 6 years of elementary school, 3 years each for middle school and high school. This study aims to distinguish common factors and different factors in unit structure of the native language textbook in Korea, China, and Japan through comparing these three countries’s language arts textbooks used in 1st grade of middle school. Furthermore, we provided implication of improvement to unit structure of native language textbook in the following aspects; 1)model of chapter structure 2)initiatory activities 3)structure of subordinate units 4)activities of subordinate units 5)guide apparatus 6)materials for motivation 7)integrated structure and general language learning 8)content and type of text 9)self-assessment 10)reference and index.
