Marketing Strategy for Balanced Development in West-North Province of Gyeongnam

Most recently, compared to other areas, West-North Province of Gyeongnam is behind the times because of absence of a large industrial complex, continuous population drain, and the shortage of educational facilities and medical institutions. However, the advantages of this area are superb natural landscape, clean, and well-managed cultural heritage. For balanced development of West-North Province of Gyeongnam, a close collaboration should be needed among local government, firms, university, and press. The investments based on the results of SWOT analysis for balanced development are required as follows: buildings of a Chinese medicine cluster around Mt. Jiri, an environment-friendly industrial cluster and agricultural cluster, and local cultural facilities. For this, marketing strategies should be carefully formulated and implemented by government.
