As an international tourism city Gyeongju is expected to be a new casino city by filing an application for permission. Though the city will obtain a de jure recognition, there are a lot of tasks to be resolved. This is why researches are requested concerning this theme, including not only infrastructure, integrated marketing communication to attract foreign tourists, and transparent and legal operation, but also residents' attitude to keep casino industry in its developing level.
In this regard, this study is to explore ways to contribute to regional economic growth after achieving permission a new license to open for casino business in the region.
