An educational objective of professional curriculum in business information high school is to improve vocational core competency. Contents composition of professional curriculum, program development, and methodology research for various types of teaching/learning are necessary conditions for this purpose. However, little efforts have been made so far in the area of methodology research for teaching/learning to improve vocational core competency. The purpose of this research is to propose a model for discussion learning utilizing blended learning. After giving lessons based on the proposed model, the effects of discussion learning to vocational core competency were analyzed. To seek the answers for the above problems, 206 students in business information high school have been divided into two groups: experiment and control. The conclusion of this research can be summarized as follows; Discussion-based classes utilizing blended learning turn out to improve vocational core competency such as problem solving ability, mathematical ability, resource utilization ability, and interpersonal relation ability. The effects of discussion learning utilizing blended learning are relevant to the characteristics of individual personality and home environments? Methods must be investigated to develop a system such as LMS (Learning Management System). Via the LMS, a learning community is formed among learning contents, students, and teachers. Provided that the system for discussion room on the basis of efficient LMS and the further research is done, the effects of discussion learning utilizing blended learning will be positive and the teaching/learning method in business information high school will significantly improve.

전문계열 고등학생의 직업기초능력을 향상시키기 위해서는 전문 교과의 내용 구성 및 다양한 교수･학습 방법의 모색 및 활용이 필요하다. 그러나 현재까지는 직업기초능력을 향상시키기 위한 교수․학습 방법에 대한 연구가 미진한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 상업정보 교과에 적절한 블렌디드 러닝을 활용한 토론학습 모형에 의한 실제 수업을 진행한 후 블렌디드 러닝 토론학습이 직업기초능력에 미치는 효과를 분석하였다. 이를 위하여 상업정보계열 고등학생 206명을 실험 집단과 통제 집단으로 나누어 진행하였으며 연구 결과 블렌디드 러닝을 활용한 토론 수업 후 문제해결능력, 의사소통능력, 수리능력, 자원활용 능력, 대인관계 능력을 포함하는 직업기초능력이 향상되었음을 검정하였다. 그리고 블렌디드 러닝을 활용한 토론학습의 효과는 학습자의 개인 특성 및 가정환경 특성과 같은 학습자 특성과 관련성이 없음을 검정하였다. 추후 효율적인 상호작용을 촉진․개선하도록 지원하는 온라인 토론방의 LMS가 구축되고, 원활한 온라인 토론방 시스템이 개발된다면 블렌디드 러닝 토론학습의 효과는 더욱 향상될 것이며, 상업정보계열 전문교과의 교수․학습 방법도 더욱 개선될 것이다.
