This paper is a study on the philosophy of ChuHeui on the aspect of emotion. Especially emotion is a kernel of the theory of mind and moral culture. Emotion is a state of moving mind, and then it is the real substance which is the same as nature. As a beginning metaphysical substance, the emotion can be recognized by experience. Logos and Nature which cannot be found by experience can be recognized through the emotion and realized by the emotion. Because emotion is a realized state, while nature is dormant substance. Emotion is a hub of a substantialism and phenomenalism, and of cosmology and the theory of human nature. I want to study the meaning and significance of the notion, emotion in the philosophy of ChuHeui. The table of content is as follows. 1. The starting point of the value realizing. 1) Where does the Human nature come from? 2)The role and position of the Emotion in the recognition and practice of the value. 2. Conformity and deviation. 1) Sympathize. 2) Introspection on communication and discontinuity. 3. The main body of experience. 1) Tendency of the truth. 2) Emotional experience and experienced reality.

이 글은 정情을 중심으로 주희철학의 특징을 고찰한 것이다. 정은 특히 심성론과 공부론에 있어서 핵심적인 위치에 있다. 정은 활동하는 마음 상태이며, 본성과 본질적으로 동일한 인간의 현실적이고 실질적인 본체이다. 형이상학적 본체의 실마리인 정은 경험될 수 있는 것이다. 경험될 수 없는 가치의 근거이자 본체인 리와 성은 정을 통해서만 인식할 수 있고 정의 활동을 통해서만 실현될 수 있다. 성은 잠재적 본체요 정은 그의 현실태이다. 본체론과 현상론, 우주론과 인성론의 유기적 결합에 있어서도 정은 하나의 연결점과 같다. 필자는 이러한 문제의식을 갖고서 과연 주희의 철학체계에서 정은 어떤 의미를 갖는지에 대해 살펴보고자 한다. 다음과 같은 작은 부분들로 나누어 논의를 전개하겠다. 1. 가치실현의 출발점 1) 인성의 내원 2) 가치인식과 실천에 있어서 정의 역할과 지위 2. 준거와 일탈 1) 정의 감응활동 2) 소통과 단절에 대한 성찰 3. 체증의 주체 1) 진리의 체화 2) 정감적 체험과 체험적 진실
