Effect of Ultrasonification Process on Immune Activation Activities of Acer mono and A. okamonoanum

1) The experiments were conducted to compare the effects of Acer mono and A. okamonoanum extracts on immune activities by ultrasonification process on several extraction conditions.
2) The human immune B and T cell growth was showed about 6-25% higher by the adding A. mono or A. okamonoanum extracts associated with ultrasonification process than conventional extracts, generally.
3) The secretion of IL-6 and TNF-α were also enhanced on B and T cell growth, about 6-25% in adding 0.5 ㎎/㎖ of the ultrasonificated extracts on B and T cell growth compare to the control.
4) NK cell activation was improved up to nearly 15% by supplement of B cell cultivated
medium in adding the ultrasonificated water extracts from A. mono as 6.17×104 cells/㎖ and 7.11×104 cells/㎖, respectively.
5) It can be conclude that ultrasonification process improve the extraction yields of biologically active compounds without damage through destruction of cell wall by shock wave of ltrasonification as well as possibly extraction of new biologically active compounds.
