Examination on Availability of Methane Sludge as a Liquid Fertilizer

초록

영어

The food waste saccharified solids and bacterial cellulose remnants were treated in two-phase UASB reactor at mesophilic temperature . The aim of this study was to estimate availability of methane sludge as a liquid fertilizer, when it was watered to garden Balsam plants. Thus, first of all, concentration of heavy metals in methane sludge was analysed. Through the metal analysis result, heavy metals included in it were lower than soil pollution worry standards. Then, methane sludge was used to plant cultivation. Plants of group A was watered with methane sludge, and water was sprinkled on group B. The leaf widths of group A and B were 5-7 cm and 6-7 cm, respectively, and leaf lengths were same(12-15 cm) in two groups of plants. As well, the stem diameters of group A and B were 9-11 mm and 8-9 mm, and stem lengths were 35-40 cm and 32-37 cm, respectively. Then, group A showed dark green comparing with group B in light green color. So, it was considered that methane sludge has potential function as a liquid fertilizer.
