Optimum conditions of the pigment production by a pigment-producing denitrifier

A pigment-producing denitrifier was isolated from sludge in a denitrification tank. By the 16S rDNA sequencing methods it was found to be Pseudomonas aeruginosa R12. The denitrifier produced a pigment, pyoverdine under an aerobic condition. The optimum conditions of pigment production were found to be pH 8 and 37℃ on a medium containing succinate as C-source and (NH4)2SO4 as N-source. The optimum conditions of the aeration rate and rpm were found to
be 5 vvm and 200 rpm, respectively.
