Isolation of petroleum degrading microorganisms from petroleum contaminated coastal soil of Beakripo

초록

영어

Bioremediations is a relatively new technology used to remediate contaminated soil and water. It has become an important method for the restoration of oil-polluted environments by the use of indigenous or selected microorganisms1). Petroleum degrading microorganism was isolated from petroleum contaminated coastal soil of Beakripo, Korea. It analyzed degradation ability in added petroleum medium. Culture medium was minimal salt media which had not carbon source2). Strain utilized petroleum as a major carbon source. Isolation of single strain was inoculated culture broth at the liquid minimal salt medium containing crude oil, kerosene, diesel, JP-8, gasoline for isolated most effective microorganisms about the various petroleum products.
The isolates were characterized with Gram staining and morphology observation. The identification was obtained by the bacterial identification kit(API-20NE), specific biochemical test and 16s rDNA sequencing.
