CTAB micelle-quantum dots as a fluorescent label for cellular morphology imaging

초록

영어

The cationic lipid or surfactant encapsulation is known as one of the most effective and
straightforward strategies because of the persistent quantum yield and no additional steps for
conjugation with peptides or antibodies. In spite of the successful fluorescent cellular labelings
with those ligands, in some ways, there are still limitations remained such as not clear fluorescent images of cellular morphology, low exclusion size for encapsulating QDs, and relatively complex composition of the system. There have been reports of solublilzation of nanocrsytals including quantum dots, gold nanoparticles and nanorods by CTAT micelle. Not yet is success of CTAB QD reported as intracellular labels. Therefore, herein we represent capability of CTAB QD as cellular labels particularly for fluorescent morphological distinct images.
