Changes of Fish Populations in Sand Mining Site within EEZ, South Sea of Korea

This study is to find out the changes of fish population by sand mining in the southern area nearby EEZ. For the whole observation, we established 6 stations located 50 km away to the southern part of Yokji-Do in Tongyeongsi and collected various kinds of fishes and marine creatures by using trawl in June, August, October, December in 2006. As a result from the observation, 1,587 living things are turned up in June, 2,618 in August, 3,819 in October, and 2,439 in December. This results show that there is not more emergences of things than those in non-mining site, which is just by 27.3 to 72,5% percentage or less.
