We report the production of three long chain polyunsaturated fatty acids(LC-PUFAs). Di-homo-gamma-linoleic aicd(DGLA), arachidonic acid(AA) and adrenic acid(ADA), through adding gamma-linoleic acid which is extra substrate by heterologous expression in P. pastoris. This was achieved using genes encoding enzymes participating in the ω3/6 fatty acid biosynthetic
pathway in T. aureum. And we have searched for gene encoding Δ4 desaturase for producing DPA and DHA. Furthermore, we have searched for gene encoding Δ6 desaturase in order to produce LC-PUFAs without external substrate in P. pastoris.
