A prospective study for biomarker of cardiovascular without diabetes mellitus using two-dimensional gel electrophoresis

초록

영어

Major cause of cardiovascular disease is blockage of blood vessel. Accumulating deposits, inflammation and atherosclerotic plaques on its inner walls induces blockage. If it is possible verifying alteration of protein concentrations in blood, which are related to cardiovascular disease, we will can early diagnosis of cardiovascular disease. The protein analysis of human sera from 20 patients with non-diabetic cardiovascular disease is compared with that of 30 healthy controls by two-dimensional gel electrophoresis. The differentially expressed spots of cardiovascular disease patients were selected and identified with ESI-Q-TOF mass spectrometry. Among the identified proteins, several proteins were confirmed to be good candidates as biomarkers for cardiovascular disease. These results suggest that proteins identified can be used as diagnostic and monitoring biomarkers of cardiovascular disease if further studies are done.
