Effect of Solvent on the Antimicrovial Activity of the Lysosomes Isolated from Hen's Eggs

초록

영어

This study investigated the antimicrovial activities of lysosomes as a cell organells aginst tested microorganisms. The observed antimicrobial activity was positively correlated with different pH conditions of solvents. Lysosomes isolated Hen's Eggs were prepared by the buffer with a pH of 4.0, 6.0 and 10.0 as a solvent. Lysosomes at a pH of 4.0 was shown greater antimicrobial effect than other pH conditions. In addition, we also found that the morphology and the amounts of activated enzymes of lysosoems have shown different patterns depending on the pH conditions of solvent, when analyzed with the Scanning Electron Microscope. With higher pH, it has shown to shrink the size of lysosomes, suggesting the inactivation of lysosomal enzymes in alkaline
conditions. On the other hands, it reported that many lysosomal enzymes have activated and transported into the lysosomes, and we conformed same phenomenon. It means that the acidification of lysosomes has shown to have a key role in the antimicrobial function of lysosomes. Therefore, we suggest that these highly effective lysosomes have a bright future in modern agriculture or clinical application as a biopesticides functioned with antimicrobial activity.
