The Fabrication of Nanoscale Bio-film of Iron Storage Protein using the Organic Compound Modification

초록

영어

The bioelectronics device has been developed due to its great potential to generate new concepts and technologies for the development of electronic devices. One of them is to utilize the oxidation states of individual molecules to store charge. This technique has the advantage that multiple oxidation-reduction states within one molecule can be addressed to access multibit. [1-2] Pseudomonas aeruginosa Azurin is a metalloprotein of 14kDa with copper ion in its active site, and it has a redox property by the electrochemical investigation. It means Azurin has an ability to oxidation and reduction characteristic. DTSSP (3,3'-Dithiobis sulphosuccinimidyl propionate) was used the -thiol modification of Azurin Protein. The redox characteristic influence of DTSSP modification was confirmed by UV spectroscopy. The increased immobilization
capability was confirmed by SPR(Surface Plasmon Resonance) spectroscopy and STM(Scanning Tunneling Microscopy) investigation. The cyclic voltammetry investigation showed the well fabricated redox protein film on the gold electrode. These well ordered assembled Azurin on the target electrode can be used by the molecular size electronic device.
