Many advanced technologies of computer and internet make the information communication technology education to be changed in elementary schools. The transition from the education of computer utilization to the education of computer science knowledge in ICT education area helps the child to enhance his or her logical thinking and the abilities of problem solving. In this study, we did some analysis of textbooks which have the updated information communication technology education, supporting these features. We collected six textbooks developed according to the guideline of information communication technology education since 2007. The main contents of this study are systematic analysis, quantity analysis and Romey's analysis about six textbooks. Specially, we found that 'Understanding of Information Society', 'Understanding of Information Processing' and 'Various Activity' among the ICT
five area in textbooks support student's inquiry activities in elementary schools.

최근의 인터넷 및 컴퓨터 기술의 발전은 초등학교의 정보통신 기술 교육을 변화시키고 있다. 기존의 컴퓨터 활용 중심의 정보통신기술 교육에서 컴퓨터 과학적 지식교육으로의 변화는 아동들의 논리적 사고 및 문제 해결력 증진 등의 고등 사고 능력의 함양에 도움을 주고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 새로운 정보통신기술 교육을 효율적으로 전달하는 교과서들에 대해 몇 가지 분석을 시행하였다. 그 주요 내용은 2007년 이후 새로운 정보통신기술교육 운영 지침에 따라 일선학교에서 사용하고 있는 6종의 정보통신기술 교과서의 체제 분석, 분량 분석 그리고 Romey 분석이다. 특히 Romey 분석의 결과로서는 대부분의 교과서가 ICT 5개영역 중 ‘정보사회의 이해’, ‘정보처리의 의해’, ‘종합활동’ 등의 3개영역이 학생들의 탐구적인 활동 중심으로 구성되어 있음이 분석되었다.
