The purpose of this thesis is to provide a small assistance to an academic challenge for the settlement of The study of correction as a humanistic science. In order for the study of correction to be reborn as a humanistic science, there should be two premises.
One is for the study of correction to overcome the dichotomy such as goodness/evilness or beauty/ugliness which traditional correction theory is supporting. And, the other is the divert of a way of thinking for crimes. In brief, as the pacifistic criminology emphasizes, a crime is necessary for us to consider it as an occurrence through the result of a person being blocked from the process of transition and creation the personal interaction and communication with other people and being excluded and neglected from social constituents.
Related with these two premises, 󰡔overlooked historical records of the three korean kingdoms󰡕 provides us various subjects of self-reflection to our adventure for the pacifistic criminology.
󰡔overlooked historical records of the three korean kingdoms󰡕 understands goodness which is the goal of correction with a unique point of view. According to 󰡔overlooked historical records of the three korean kingdoms󰡕, goodness doesn't need to be washed away. We just make sure not to contaminate it. What is the contamination? Manipulating and selecting something are all contamination. Normal mind is exactly goodness. What is the state being called as normal mind? normal mind which being occurred when all those traditional attitudes and heteronomous constraint are being removed is indeed goodness.
And, 󰡔overlooked historical records of the three korean kingdoms󰡕 also shows unique self-reflection for crime. According to this, crime is none other than indifference and lovelessness. Indifference and lovelessness are not something really different. We just can't share feelings with others. Being stuck behind the walls of goodness/evilness, beauty/ugliness and good/bad, we just can't meet entity as oneself.

이 글의 목표는 인본주의적 학문으로서의 교정학의 정착을 위한 학문적 도전에 작은 보탬이 되기 위한 성찰의 하나이다.
교정학이 인본주의적 학문으로 거듭나기 위해서는 두 가지 전제가 필요하다. 하나는 전통적 교정 이론이 기반하고 있는, 선/악, 미/추와 같은 이분법을 넘어서는 것이다. 그리고 또 하나는 범죄에 대한 사고의 전환이다. 요컨대 평화주의 범죄학이 강조하고 있듯, 범죄란 타인과 외부와의 상호교류와 소통을 통한 변화와 창조의 과정이 차단되고 사회구성원으로부터 소외되고 배제됨으로써 발생하는 것으로 이해될 필요가 있다.
󰡔삼국유사󰡕는 이 두 가지 전제와 관련하여, 인본주의적 교정학을 위한 우리의 모험에 여러 가지 성찰의 주제를 제공한다.
󰡔삼국유사󰡕는 교정이 목표로 하는 선(善)을 아주 특이한 시선으로 이해한다. 󰡔삼국유사󰡕에 따르면, 선은 굳이 닦아 익힐 필요가 없다. 다만 오염시키지 않으면 된다. 무엇을 오염이라고 하는가? 조작하고 선택하는 일체가 그것이다. 평상의 마음이 곧 선이다. 무엇을 일러 평상심이라 하는가? 일체의 인습적 태도와 타율적 강제를 치워 주었을 때 자연스럽게 발현되는 평상의 마음 그것이 선인 것이다.
또한 󰡔삼국유사󰡕는 죄에 대한 특유의 성찰을 보여주기도 한다. 거기에 따르면 죄란 다름 아닌 무관심, 사랑 없음이다. 무관심, 사랑 없음은 다른 것이 아니다. 우리가 다른 존재와 자연스럽게 교감하지 못하는 것이다. 선/악, 미/추, 호/오의 벽에 갇혀 다른 존재를 존재 그대로 만나지 못하는 것이다.
