This study analyses recent movement of the after-school childcare service policy in
Korea, Japan & Sweden, and then searches for the implications related to the after-school
childcare service policy of Korea. Specifically, researcher reviews outlines & details of the
after-school childcare service policy in Korea, Japan & Sweden. According to it,
researcher is willing to elicit implications related to the after-school childcare service
policy of Korea. And the after-school childcare service policy of the three nations are
analysed comparatively in six aspects, that is, ①the background of policy & law,
institutions, ②goals, ③accountability, effects & utilization, ④leader, ⑤financial resources,
⑥contents of the programs. Lastly, six conclusions are represented in same six aspects.

이 연구는 우리나라 뿐 아니라 일본과 스웨덴의 방과후 보육 정책의 최근 동향을 분석하여 현재 크게 확대 중에 있는 우리나라의 방과후 보육 정책에 대한 시사점을 얻고자 하는 것이다. 구체적으로 우리나라, 일본, 스웨덴의 방과후 보육정책의 개요와 세부사항을 살펴보고, 일본과 스웨덴의 보육 정책이 우리나라의 방과후 보육 정책에 주는 시사점을 도출하는 것이다. 그리고 세 나라의 보육 정책을 ①정책의 배경 및 법과 제도 측면, ②목적 측면, ③책무성과 효과 및 이용가능성 측면, ④지도자 측면, ⑤재원 측면, ⑥프로그램 내용의 6가지 측면에서 비교분석하여 우리나라의 방과후 보육 정책에 주는 다각적인 의미를 탐색한다. 마지막의 결론 부분도 6가지 측면에서 제시한다.
