This Study uses Data Envelopment Analysis(DEA) to assess the comparative efficiency of Culture and Art Center in Regional Government. DEA is used to evaluate how efficiently Culture and Art Center supply the culture and art to the regional citizen. DEA is evaluated to be a relevant analysis tool to measure the efficiency in cultural service. In this study the efficiency is calculated by the function of input to output based on data drawn from Sori Arts Center operation annual reports. The result shows that mean efficiency of Sori Arts Center was 99% DMU(decision making unit). The efficiency of Sori Arts Center is affected by the internal factors and external factors. The results of this study suggest that international convention facility and outdoor performance facility needed to be adjusted to maximize the efficiency of Sori Arts Center operation.

지역주민들의 문화 향수권과 문화적 가치 증대에 대한 관심이 증가하면서 문화예술회관의 건립이 증가하였고 이에 따른 문화예술회관 운영의 효율성에 대한 관심이 증가하기 시작하였다. 문화예술회관은 지역주민의 문화 공급 및 창조적 공간으로서 문화적 향유 및 문화적 서비스를 제공하는 공간적 기능을 담당하고 있어 운영적인 측면에서 효율적인 관리가 중요해지고 있는 것이다. 따라서 본 연구는 한국소리문화의전당을 대상으로 자료포락분석을 활용하여 투입변수 3개와 산출변수 5개를 설정하여 분석하였고 그 결과 모악당, 연지홀, 명인홀 등이 높은 효율성이 나타났으나, 야외공연장과 국제회의장은 비효율적인 결과가 나타나 운영의 변화가 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 시설에 대한 수요의 변화 및 대상을 재설정하여 다각적인 방안 마련이 필요한 것으로 보인다.
