This article shows the causes of young Christian's suicide and preventive measures to it from the viewpoint of pastoral counseling.
Young boys and girls may commit suicide accidently. So they are vulnerable to the danger of suicide. All Christians may commit suicide in critic moments. In the changing social situations, the problem of adaptation may evoke frustration or be the means of the final solution to even believers. In this view, enervation of belief due to depression is an important issue in pastoral care. We can't assert stubbornly that the only key to any kinds of problems is to believe because depression may overwhelm belief. Facilitating Christian's spiritual wellbeing, strengthening
the meaning of life, emphasizing God's calling to himself or herself and experiential religious life would be necessary. Especially, experiential faith can vitalizes life and helps overcome crisis.

본 논문은 젊은 기독교인의 자살을 두고 목회상담적 관점에서 원인을 규명하고 그 대응책을 시도한다. 청소년들에게 자살은 우발적으로 일어날 수 있기에 젊은 기독교인들이 그만큼 위험에 노출되어 있다.
더 나아가 자살은 일반적인 기독교인들에게도 여전히 위험적인 요인으로 작용할 수 있다. 변화되는 사회적 상황에서 적응의 문제는 신앙인에게도 그에 따른 좌절감이나 마지막 해결책의 수단이 될 수 있다는 것이다. 이런 시각에서 우울증으로 인한 신앙의 무기력은 간과해서는 안 될 목회의 중요한 문제였다. 우울증이 신앙을 압도할 수 있다는 사실이 언제나 신앙만능만을 고집할 수 없기 때문이다.
이런 논점에 대하여 그 예방과 대응책으로 기독교인의 영적 건강, 삶의 의미를 강화, 그리고 내세신앙으로 인한 소명의 강조와 체험적 신앙생활이 중요시 되고 있다. 체험적인 신앙은 생동감을 발휘하여 위기를 극복할 수 있기 때문이다.
