The purpose of this study is to investigate the teacher's difficulties in education for young children
in multi-cultural families. The subjects of this study were 144 teachers who are working at 43 day
care centers in Jeonbuk area. The questionnaire developed by researcher basing upon Park(2007), Back(2005), Oh(2007), and Cho(2006) had been used. The collected data were statistically processed analyzed by Frequency, t-test and Oneway-ANOVA with 10.0 SPSS program. This results of this study are summarized as follows: 1. The teacher's recognition of the developmental levels of young children in multi cultural families is low in all over. 2. The teacher's have a little difficulties in relationship ton parents of young children in multi cultural families with their a lack of the korean language. 3. The teacher have a little difficulties in instruction & learning for children in multi-cultural families. 4. The teachers don't feel no spacial burden in education for young children in multi cultural families. 5. The teachers recognize lack of teacher education relating to education for children in multi cultural families. 6. The teachers recognize the importance of the language education as content of parent education of young children in multi cultural families. This study suggests that these findings to be reflected on practicing education for young children in multi-cultural families.

본 연구는 다문화 가정 유아의 교육에서 직면하는 어려움을 규명해보고자 다문화 가정 유아의 교육을 담당한 교사 총 144명을 대상으로 다문화 가정 유아의 발달 정도, 학부모와의 관계, 교수-학습에서의 어려움과 부담감, 교사교육, 교육의 문제에 대한 인식을 조사하였다. 그 결과 교사들은 다문화 가정 유아의 발달이 또래 유아에 비해 전체적으로 조금 느린 수준이며, 학부모와의 관계에서 약간의 어려움을 인식하였다. 교수-학습에서는 보통정도의 어려움을 인식하며, 다문화 가정 유아교육 관련 교사교육 경험에 대해서는 교사교육이 부족하다고 인식하였다. 다문화 가정 유아를 위한 교육 내용으로 대부분의 내용을 모두 중요하게 인식하며, 특히 언어를 중요한 교육내용으로 인식하였다.
