This thesis aims at proposing the teaching methods of Korean conversation based on the analysis of the demand collected from Chinese studying Korean in China. The first need to teach Korean effectively in China is to improve their educational surroundings. So to speak, they have to decrease the number of the student (around 30) in a class, which helps to increase the chance for students to contact to their educator. Therefore students can make a good conversation with their teacher in result. Secondly, the textbook should be revised to understand the real Korean situation and at the same time should be applied to people in china effectively. Especially a variety of book for specific purpose such as a book for users in over intermediate level should be published. Third, developing an educational system based on the level, a study for new method in teaching and the consistency of the way to teach Korean should be well-organized. The thing to give emphasis in teaching method for conversation is ‘how to teach’ the pronunciation in which most Chinese have many difficulties. Because there are less studies on ‘how to teach’than those of ‘what to teach’. So it is necessary for educator’s actual experience to be theorized specifically. Next, it is focused on educating a native language which is not formed by Chinese or any other language. Korean native language is characterized that it has lots of synonyms, multivocal words, honorific words and the change of a phoneme can create various connotations. That is why student have many difficulties in studying Korean. It should be made by distinguishing between basic meaning and derived meaning of a word, understanding of Korean sentiments and culture. Moreover, diverse attempts should be made for the method of the student-initiative study. Methods such as ‘role playing’, ‘dialogue among students’, ‘group activities’ can affect the following classes positively by enhancing the feeling of achievement. It could be also very effective to use ‘song’ to promote their interest on studying. Hopefully these proposals could contribute to education of Korean language in china.

본고는 중국 현지의 한국어 학습자 요구를 분석하고, 이를 토대로 한국어 회화교육방법에 대한 제언을 하기 위한 것이다. 중국에서의 한국어 교육이 효과적으로 이루어지기 위해서는 먼저 교육환경의 개선이 필요하다. 즉 현재의 한 학급당 인원수(30명 내외)를 줄여서 학습자와 교사 간의 접촉 기회를 늘리고, 이를 통해 학습자와 교사 간의 소통을 원활하게 할 필요가 있다. 둘째, 교재는 중국 현지에서 효율적으로 이용될 수 있도록, 그러면서도 한국의 현실을 구체적으로 보여줄 수 있도록 편찬되어야 한다. 특히 중․고급 단계의 교재 및 특수목적의 교재를 다양하게 편찬해야 한다. 셋째, 교육의 단계별 체계화와 교육 방법에 대한 구체적인 연구뿐만 아니라 개별 교사들의 교수방식을 일관성 있게 체계화해야 한다. 회화교수방안에서 가장 중시되어야 할 것은 발음의 ‘교육방법’이다. 중국인 한국어 학습자가 가장 어려워하는 것은 발음인데, 발음학습을 위한 교수방법 연구는 교수대상 연구에 비해 성과가 부족하다. 이를 구체화하기 위해서는 현장경험을 체계화하는 것이 필요하다. 다음으로 중시되어야 할 것은 고유어 교육이다. 고유어는 외래어나 한자어에 비해 동의어․다의어․유의어․존대어들이 많으며 음운 교체에 의한 어감의 차이 또한 다양하기 때문에, 의미가 많고 쓰임이 다양해서 학습자들이 어려워하기 때문이다. 고유어에 대한 교육은 어휘의 기본의미와 파생의미에 대한 구별, 한국인의 정서 및 문화 이해 등을 통해 이루어져야 한다. 또한 학습자 주도의 학습을 위한 방법들도 다양하게 시도되어야 한다. ‘역할극’ 및 ‘학습자 간 대화’, ‘그룹 활동’ 등은 학습자들로 하여금 성취감을 느끼게 함으로써 이후의 수업에도 매우 긍정적인 영향을 미친다. 그런가 하면 ‘노래를 이용한 방법’도 학습자의 흥미를 고취하는 데 효과적이다. 이상의 논의가 중국에서의 한국어 교육 발전에 기여할 수 있기를 바란다.
