The paper reviews the past and current situation of Korean education in China and points out the new orientation in the future. Education of Korean has been put into effectin China for 60years. During this lengthy period, it went through many twistsand turns but yielded impressive results. Especially, because of establishment of diplomaticrelations between China and Korea, the economic exchanges and trades of these two countries are increasing with the swift growth of Korean economy, and the status of Korean language were promoted. In this context, education of Korean language also got unprecedented development trend. Although it is really aminor language, it has been carried out in more than 70 regular colleges as department of Korean language. At this point, it’s amiraculousthing absolutely. Over all, the condition of Korean education has been improved much than in the past, and the quality and standard of education has also been promoted. Nowadays, the specialty of Korean language is also apopular one with high employment status. However, the author doesn’t think we should ignore the multifarious factors which may cause underlying crisis. It’s necessary to make calm and intensive analysis to the reality in order to keep a sustained and sound development of Korean education. Except for several Colleges with real strength, most of the colleges without integrated Korean education system get some problems in many respects, such as the development of a contingent of teachers and instructional evaluation. In addition, there is a hot flush of studying in Korea unprecedented in China. And also, there are many unexpected problems along with a great amount of graduates from Korea coming back to China for jobs. So it may give an enormous pressure to domestic education of Korea. On the other side, there are many uncertainties in development of Korea economy with the economic stagnation of the world. Then the problems like difficulty in getting jobs are caused because of declining investment by Korea. In such a case, the author considers that we should think over the question of additional post of Korean subjects and extension. This paper reveal sand reviews the history and the current situation of internal Korean education in the perspectives above, and puts for ward the solutions on problems of the establishment of Korean subject, reform goals, teachers troop construction, teachers training and research, evaluation of teaching efficiency and the establishment of the system for students to evaluate while points out them.

본 논문은 중국에서의 한국어교육의 과거와 현재를 돌이켜보고, 이를 기반으로 그 미래에 대해 나름대로 새로운 방향을 제시하고자 했다. 중국에서의 한국어 교육은 이미 60여년이란 긴 노정을 걸어왔다. 이 동안 우여곡절도 많았지만 성과도 적지 않다. 특히 중․한 수교 이후, 한국경제의 급성장과 더불어 양국 간의 경제무역이 활발해지면서 한국어의 위상이 크게 향상되었는바, 이러한 배경 속에서 중국에서의 한국어교육도 전례 없는 발전을 이룩하였다. 한국어가 작은 어종임에도 불구하고 중국 전역의 70여 개 본과대학에서 한국어학과를 개설했다는 점은 참으로 경이로운 일이 아닐 수 없다. 전체적으로 예전에 비해서 한국어교육여건이 크게 개선되었고 교육수준도 질적으로 현저히 향상되었다. 그리고 현재까지는 한국어의 인기가 여전히 높은 편이며 졸업생들의 취직상황도 좋은 편이다. 그러나 우리는 항상 화려한 현상의 이면에는 위기를 자초할 수 있는 문제점들이 잠재해 있다는 점을 망각해서는 안 된다. 장래 한국어교육의 온당한 발전을 위해서는 현실상황에 대한 냉철한 분석이 필요하다. 실제 국내의 몇몇 실력이 있는 대학들을 제외한 나머지 대학들에서는 아직도 완벽한 한국어교육시스템을 마련하지 못했고 교사진 구성과 교육 평가 등을 포함한 여러 측면에서 문제점들이 존재하고 있다. 그런데다가 최근부터 전례 없는 한국유학 붐이 일면서 유학출신의 졸업생들이 대량 배출되고 있고, 또 이와 관련하여 여러 가지 예기치 못했던 문제들이 나타나고 있어 장래 중국에서의 한국어교육에 적지 않은 파장이 예상된다. 그리고 아무도 예측 불가능한 국내외 정치정세는 물론, 세계경제의 침체와 더불어 한국경제발전이 불투명해 지면서 대 중국 투자가 위축되는 조짐을 보이고 있는 가운데 취업이 날로 어려워지는 등 우려되는 점들이 한두 가지가 아니다. 이러한 상황에서 국내 한국어학과의 지속적인 증설과 학생 모집의 확대는 반드시 심사숙고해야 할 문제라고 생각한다. 본 논문은 이러한 시각에서 중국에서의 한국어교육역사와 현황에 대해 전면 살펴보고 거기에 노출된 문제점을 분석하면서 장래 한국어학과 설립과 교육목표 개혁, 교사진 구축 및 교육자 양성과 연수, 교육효율에 대한 평가 및 학습자 능력평가체제 설립, 그리고 중국에서의 한국어교육의 일부분인 비정규기관의 한국어교육현황 및 그 미래발전 등에 대해 나름대로의 방향 및 대안을 제시하였다.
