In the context of life-taking in the era of globalization and ecological crisis, the article criticizes the existing integral mission theory and suggests a life-giving integral mission as an alternative. The article consists of three parts mainly. The first part analyzes the existing integral mission theory which studies the dualistic forms of the evangelical and the ecumenical missions. The mission theory tries to integrate the bipolar foci which are based both on the individual mission to save souls and to plant churches, and on the ecumenical mission to establish just social structures. The integral theory does not work efficiently in the mission fields and also cannot embrace adequately the life-giving mission in the present ecological crisis. In order to formulate a life-giving integral mission, the second part interprets Trinitarian theology from the ecological perspective. God is viewed as immanent in the world and the eco-sphere, and is also transcendent. Further, Christ is understood as the cosmic Christ who creates and saves all creatures in the cosmos. Finally the Holy Spirit is regarded as the Spirit of life who groans with all the creatures and saves them from all suffering. The Spirit is the energizing power of mission to all creatures in the cosmos. The third part articulates the life-giving integral mission theory which is based on Trinitarian mission. Particularly the works of the Holy Spirit are emphasized in integrating the missional elements. Further the article describes the Green Messiah Jesus, the Missionary of God who is incarnated to save the cosmos including the human world and the eco-sphere. The Green Messiah as the Missionary redeems the cosmos in the form of a servant to serve life. That is, through suffering and death before the ecological catastrophe, he saves life. In addition the article describes eco-spirituality and its mission strategies such as locality mission and network mission. In conclusion the article suggests some items which should be practiced concretely in the mission fields and churches.

본 논문은 생명 죽임을 일상화하는 지구화와 생태계 파멸 위기 시대에 생명 봉사적 통전 선교를 제안하는 글이다. 이 글의 본문은 크게 3부분으로 구성되었다. 첫 부분은 이분적 통전 선교를 비판한다. 역사적으로 선교는 영혼 구원과 회심 및 교회 개척을 강조하는 복음주의 선교와 세상에서 사회적 실천을 강조하는 에큐메니칼 선교로 분화 발전되었다. 그러나 1970년대 이후 이 두 흐름을 하나로 통합하려는 신학적 노력 즉 통전 선교신학이 논의되었다. 그러나 이러한 통전 선교신학은 이분적 선교 즉 개인주의적 차원에서 영혼 구원을 강조하는 선교와 세상에서 인간화된 사회를 만들려는 에큐메니칼 선교를 통합하려는 것으로서 오늘날 생태계 위기 이슈에 충분히 접근하기 어려운 한계를 가지고 있다. 둘째 부분은 생명 봉사적 통전 선교를 서술하기 위하여 신학적으로 삼위일체 하나님을 재해석한 것이다. 먼저, 자연과 생태계와 호흡하며 아픔의 경험을 느끼며 이들을 구원할 수 있는 하나님을 내재적이고 초월적 하나님으로 이해한 것이다. 또한 그리스도 역시 인간 중심주의를 넘어서서 우주의 창조와 구원을 이끄는 우주적 그리스도를 서술하였다. 그리고 피조물의 고통에 참여하여 생명을 구원하는 영으로 성령님을 서술한 것이다. 셋째 부분은 생명 봉사적 통전 선교의 신학적 근거와 전략을 기술하였다. 신학적으로 생명 봉사적 통전 선교는 삼위일체 하나님의 선교이다. 아버지 하나님의 선교와 아들 그리스도의 선교 그리고 선교의 영으로서 성령님의 선교를 서술하였다. 특히 성령님의 선교적 역할을 강조하였다. 그리고 하나님의 선교사로서 우주의 생명 구원을 위하여 파송된 예수님을 녹색 메시야로 해석하였다. 이러한 선교신학적 이해를 바탕으로 생태 영성과 선교 전략을 서술하였다. 생태 영성은 생명 봉사적 영성으로서 녹색 메시야의 삶을 따르는 것으로 규정하였다. 또한 지구화와 생명 죽임 시대의 선교 전략으로 지역성 살리기와 네트워크 구축 선교를 강조하였다. 그리고 교회가 구체적으로 시행해야 할 선교적 과제를 몇 가지 덧붙였다.
