What are diversified students by diversified entrance examinations into universities and colleges? To name a few they are as follows: 1) the students by examination for candidates recommended by senior high school principals, 2) the students who have not learned such mathematics，physics，chemistry, and biology and so forth, 3) “apathy students”, what so called, having not their own’s aims in their entrance into the university or the college or the students enrolled by
unwilling entrance into the university or the college, and so forth. nowadays, universities and colleges in Japan, are tackling the various educational improvements or new teaching trials in order to enhance their learning motivations. In this paper, among “freshman education”, especially I considered about and argued the conditions and the problems concerning 1) freshman－orientation seminar 2) freshman－courses seminar 3) remedial－courses education, and so forth.

現代日本における多様な入試方法による多様な学生とは、たとえば、1) 個性的であるが、受験勉
強をしないで推薦入試やAO入試で合格した学生や、入試の易化によって基礎的学力が低下した学
生、2) 大学の専門教科目を受講するための前提となる教科目を、高校時代に履修していない学生、
さらには 3) 無目的な入学や不本意な入学などによる無気力化した学生いわゆるアパシー学生、等々
が挙げられよう。
このような学生の実態を踏まえて、今や日本の大学は、個別的に教育効果を上げるために、さま
ざまな教育改革や新しい試みに取り組んでいる。本論文ではとくに、新入学生に対するさまざまな
教育的施策の主要なものとして、1) フレッシュマンㆍオリエンテーション、2) 正式のカリキュラム
科目として実施されているフレッシュマンㆍセミナー、それから 3) 大学入学直後に行われるリメ
ディアル（補正）教育の3つを取り上げて、その現状と今後の課題について、詳細にわたって考察し
論及した。
