In order to activate athletic talent and aptitude development programs at elementary schools in the Gangneung area,
Gangwondo, the present study surveyed the current state of special talent and aptitude development programs in the area focused
on elementary school teachers, parents and students and, in particular, examined people’s interest in and desire for athletic
talent and aptitude development programs, identified problems in the program and suggested solutions for the problems.
This study was made with 713 subjects selected through stratified cluster random sampling from teachers, parents and students
at schools in kangneung area that were running after‐school classes and executing athletic talent and aptitude development
programs currently as of 2006.Of data collected through the survey, those answered redundantly or not answered and those
considered unreliable were excluded from analysis, and effective answers were coded according to the coding guidelines.
Coded data were processed according to the purposes of analysis using SPSS 12.0 for Windows. Analysis was made according
to the demographical factors of the teachers, parents and students, and ‐test was used for analysis by question. Statistical
significance was determined based on significance level α=.05.

본 연구는 강원도 강릉지역 초등학교의 체육관련 특기적성 계발 프로그램의 활성화 방안을 모색하기 위하여 초
등학교 교사와 학부모, 학생을 중심으로 강릉지역의 특기적성 계발 프로그램의 전반에 대한 실태를 조사하고 특
히 체육관련 특기적성 계발 프로그램에 대한 관심과 욕구를 고찰함으로써 그 문제점과 해결방안을 마련하는데
목적이 있다. 본 연구의 조사 대상은 2006년 강릉지역에서 방과 후 학교를 실시하는 초등학교 중 체육관련 특기
적성 계발 프로그램을 실시하고 있는 학교의 교사, 학부모, 학생으로 설정한 다음 유층집락무선표집법(stratified
cluster random sampling)을 이용해 총 713명을 표집 하여 표본을 추출하였다. 조사절차에 따라 수집된 자료는
회수한 후 이중기입 및 무기입한 자료, 신뢰성이 부족하다고 판단되는 자료는 분석대상에서 제외시키고 유효 표
본만을 코딩의 지침에 따라 부호화(coding)하였다. 부호화된 자료를 통계프로그램인 Window용 SPSS 12.0 version
을 이용하여 분석 목적에 따라 전산 처리하였다. 분석은 교사, 학부모, 학생들의 인구 통계적 요인별로 분석하여
문항별로  검증방법을 사용하였으며, 유의수준은 α=.05로 설정하였다.
