Derivation of Heating and Cooling Load Prediction Equation on the Classroom Window Size in Busan

Today, modern buildings are increasing energy consumption. To predict energy consumption and design collectly, we should consider windows size of building. Windows are important parts of the building envelopment and they need to be fully functioned. Windows are composed of high thermal-conductive materials and they are almost openable. Moreover, the heat gaines and losses through windows are larger than the wall of the building. So we shall consider energy conservation method in design of windows. Especially in summer and winter of the year, the more windows are larger the more heat loads are larger too. Therefore, we should make them small as much as possible and it is very important to predict the window size in design. In this study we compared heating and cooling load regulating the size of window through Esp-r simulation, and are going to derive the most suitable general formula.
