The most difficult problem regarding flexibility of apartment inner space is that the location of wet zone is unchangeable. As the pipe laying of water-needed space such as a bathroom or a kitchen is fixed, the diversity of room arrangement is limited.
Thus, this study will focus on the flexible planning that enables the location of wet zone to be changeable to be able to meet the residents' potential demands of changing space arrangement that only when the gap of square measure between the former space and the letter one is not big. For this to be possible, at first, I analyzed the wet zone arrangement according to the square
measure of apartment of plate-shape planning, and came up with the standard compatible pipe shafts from the results. And then I adjusted the standard shafts at each appropriate square measure space as the compatible pipe shaft.
I expect that by installing the proper compatible pipe shaft when there is a demand for changing the facility at a space that the square measure gap is not outstanding, the room arrangement including the location of wet zone can be diversified and also the flexibility of apartment inner space will be improved.
