and its location was moved from the suburbs into a town. But most of these memorial halls were disposed to depend on the placeness of site related to the object to memory. And these were alienated from the daily life of residents who lived that site.
The kernel of this study is to search the meaning of 'commemoration and memory' in the view of comtemporary philosophy.
According to the view of Contextualism and Bergson, the meaning of memory is not to represent simply matters of history but to invest each event that realize matters of history with new meaning. After all, memorial hall as the urban context would be appearance able to harmony with the daily life of urban citizen.
Lastly, through this study, I propose new concept of the Memorial hall based on the 'Allteglichkeit' as the urban context.
