The Impact of Corporate Ethical Values on Employee Ethical Behavior

This paper reviews antecedents and outcome of ethical behavior in work organizations. Antecedents included are corporate ethical values, organizational justice and organizational commitment. Also, outcome is organizational citizenship behavior. Through the literature study, the paper suggests sequential causal relations among the above variables. In the framework of these causal relations, it proposes that corporate ethical values affect ethical behavior through other mediating variables, organizational justice and organizational commitment. Besides,
it proposes the linkage between ethical behavior and a consequent variable, organizational citizenship behavior which have been considered to be related to organizational success. Finally, additional comments are made for future research.
