This case study is about functional analyses of traumatic symptoms in two prostituted women suffering with complex posttraumatic stress. Functional analysis offers treatment utility by identifying the controllable, causal, functional relationship among symptoms. In this study, we focused on dissociative experiences which may operate for the occurrence and maintenance of posttraumatic symptoms. In the case of J, dissociative experiences were found between reexperiencing symptoms and impulses of self-harm. Case of K is about dissociative experiences in between identity confusion and repetition of harmful relationships.
Throughout the case studies, it was possible to conceptualize the dissociative experiences by the functional domains such as experiential avoidance, and deficiency in tacting private experiences. Treatment choices, implications and limitations of the study were discussed.

외상성 스트레스를 호소하는 두 성매매 여성 사례에 대한 기능적 분석을 시도하였다. 기능적 분석은 증상에서 중요하고 조절 가능한 인과적인 기능적 관계를 확인하여 치료적 유용성을 이끌어냄을 목표로 한다. 본 연구는 문제 행동을 발생시키고 지속시키는 기능적 과정으로서 해리 경험에 주목하여, 해리 경험으로 인하여 지속적인 재경험 증상을 겪고, 자해 충동을 경험한 J씨, 그리고 만성적인 애착 문제와 정체성 문제, 그리고 지속적인 해리 경험을 보이며 위험한 애착관계가 반복되는 K씨의 사례를 소개하였다. 두 사례 안에서 해리 경험을 경험적 회피 및 내적 경험 접촉 결함 등의 기능적 분석 개념으로 설명하였고, 해리 경험이 외상성 스트레스 및 재외상화의 악순환에 미치는 영향에 관하여 고찰하였다. 또한 문제 확인 및 치료 선택과 연결 짓고자 하였으며, 본 사례 연구의 의미와 한계에 대하여 논의하였다.
