The aim of this study is to develop cultural class materials for Korean language education. For this purpose, suggested seven principles of cultural class materials development. 1) Material should connect the tradition and the present. 2) Material should have enough details so that it can be used in real situations. 3) Material should have systematic architecture 4) Material should have comparison point with the learner's culture 5) Material needs objective explanation 6) Material should be accompanied with experience and activity. 7) Material should have adaptability according to different user levels. On the basis of the principles, this article proposes a model of cultural class showing an actual class model as an example, which deals with Annual Customs. The appropriateness of the proposed cultural class on Annual Customs will be discussed taking its ground on seven principles.
