Companies in most ex-socialist countries changed their business administration styles according to the transformation of economic systems of their countries, i.e. to capitalistic market economy in case of Russia and former East Germany, to socialistic market economy in case of China, both from the socialistically planned economy. The exception is North Korea whose economy is still socialistically planned. This paper analyzes the changes of business administration of the ex-socialistic companies before and after the transformation of economic systems of their countries, i.e. Russia, former East Germany and China. In case of North Korean companies, their peculiarities are discussed in terms of the business style before the transformation.
