A Study on a Syllabus Design of the Korean Culture for Improvin Korean Communicative Competence of Chinese Student of Novice Level

This study is to plan a teaching syllabus for Chinese students who learn Korean as a second language, especially those who are in a beginning course. Most methodologies and suggestions for cultural education have been theoretical and practically limited. There is no constructive suggestion in terms of how to teach Korean to people from a different culture or how to develop a learner capability based syllabus. This study concludes with a proposal for creating a teaching syllabus for Chinese people whose Korean is in beginners level. This practical syllabus is suggested in order to practice Korean teaching for Chinese students whose Korean is in beginners level. This study contributes to developing a practical methodology for cultural teaching syllabus in the sense that theoretical approach has been usual in studies about teaching Korean culture.
