This study tries to combine communitarianism and casuistry and investigate the significance of this approach in the biomedical ethics education. Casuistry, which tries to draw practical ethical decision through specific cases and contexts, has strong impact in modern biomedical ethics. However, it has a drawback from the fact that it relies on the voluntary decision based on subjective elements of the decision maker. This drawback could be complemented by combining with communitarianism which seeks common goods by mutual deliberation and agreement. A communitarianismic and casuistric approach in the education on the biomedical education is closely realated to the modern trend in education which sees that 'wisdom and ability to make right decision can be formed by concrete situations and coherences, and can be made together by exchanging informations.'

본 논문은 생명의료윤리교육에서 공동체주의와 결의론의 접목을 시도하고, 이러한 접근 방법이 생명의료윤리교육에서 가지는 의의를 살펴보고자 한다. 결의론이 구체적인 사례와 맥락의 분석을 통해 현실적인 도덕적 판단을 이끌어 낸다는 점에서 현대 생명의료윤리학에서 갖는 영향력은 매우 크다.
그럼에도 불구하고, 판단자의 주관적인 요소가 개입된 자의적인 판단에 맡겨질 수 밖에 없다는 결점을 지니는데, 이러한 결점은 공동의 숙고와 합의를 통해 공동선을 추구하는 공동체주의와의 접목을 통해서 보완될 수 있다고 보여진다. 생명의료윤리교육에 대해 공동체주의와 결의론적 접근은 ‘지혜와 올바른 판단능력은 구체적인 상황과 맥락에서 창출되며, 서로가 정보교환을 하면서 함께 만들어 간다’고 보는 오늘날의 교육흐름과도 밀접한 관련을 맺는다.
