Objective : The purpose of this present study was to make clear the necessity of the disposition of occupational therapists in a public health center.
Methods : For this purpose, 73 subjects who have experienced CBR at a public health center in Dae-gu made up the questionnaire, with 20 of the subjects participating in occupational therapy programs. Also, 3 persons in-charge of CBR were interviewed in detail.
Results : The results of this study can be summarized as follows. First, disabled persons in the community require professional rehabilitation services. Second, the degree of satisfaction was high for CBR including occupational therapy programs. Third, after an occupational program, there were significant differences on the level of ADL independence and quality of life (p<.01).
Conclusion : The participation of occupational therapists in a CBR program is necessary for the improvement of ADL and quality of life of disabled persons. A procedural norm has to be prepared for the disposition of occupational therapists in order to develop CBR.

목적 : 본 연구는 현행 실시되는 보건소의 지역사회중심 재활 사업에 작업치료사 인력 보급의 필요성과 역할의 중요성을 밝히고자 한 것이다.
연구방법 : 이를 위해 대구시에서 CBR 사업을 시범적으로 운영하는 보건소를 중심으로 지역사회재활 사업에 참여한 장애인 73명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하고, 같은 지역 장애인 중 20명을 대상으로 작업치료 프로그램개입 후 환자의 변화를 비교하고, 사업의 현실적인 문제를 조사하기 위해 담당관과의 심층 면담을 실시하였다.
결과 : 설문조사에서 지역사회장애인들이 전문재활치료를 필요로 하였고, 작업치료 프로그램이 포함된 지역중심 재활사업에 만족도가 높았다. 작업치료 프로그램 전 후 비교에서는 중재 전후 일상생활활동과 삶의 질에서 의미 있는 차이가 있었다(p<.01).
결론 : 장애인들의 일상생활활동을 향상시키고, 사회적 참여를 통한 삶의 질을 향상시키기 위해 서 지역사회중심재활 사업에 작업치료사의 개입이 필요하다. 그리고 CBR사업의 활성화를 위해 보건소에 작업치료사 배치를 위한 절차적인 기준을 마련해야 한다.
