Since revision of curriculum could be possible at any time, discussions about the 7th curriculum had been done and the final revision was announced on Feb. 28, 2007. It has been pointed out that textbooks and curriculum were made without considering environment of curriculum of
schools so far. Especially some problems with the degree of difficulty and the propriety of contents have been proposed in the Accounting Principles subjects. So next textbooks will be minimized these problems by suiting for the revised curriculum and level of students. This study is aimed to propose a desirable model in order to develop textbooks. It analyzed precedent studies of other subjects, problems of present textbooks, and demands of teachers and students. It tried to suggest an ideal example of textbook of Accounting Principles subjects, but, it is necessary to discuss about development of textbooks more actively regarding that textbook of Accounting Principles is one of authorized textbooks which pursue their diversities. Further I expect that the models developed in this study will be used in teaching students and more desirable textbooks will be developed through discussions and analyses among groups sharing education

교육과정 개정 방법이 수시 개정체계로의 전환되면서 7차 교육과정에 대한 개정작업이 이루어져 지난 2007. 2. 28일에 고시되었다. 그동안 회계원리 교과서는 학교교육과정의 내․외적 환경을 고려하지 않고 제작됨에 따라 난이도, 내용적절성 등의 문제점이 제기되었었다. 따라서 향후 제작될 교과서는 이러한 문제점을 최소화하여 개정 교육과정과 학생수준에 적합한 교과서의 개발이 되어야 할 것이다. 본 연구는 이러한 필요성에 따라 바람직한 교과서 개발을 위한 모형을 제시하고자 하는데 그 목적을 두고 연구하였다. 연구는 타 교과의 선행연구, 기존 교과서의 문제점 분석과 학생․교사의 요구 분석을 하였다. 이를 바탕으로 이상적인 회계원리 교과서 모형을 제시하였다. 본 연구가 향후 개발할 교과서의 방향을 제시하였지만, 회계원리 교과서가 다양성을 추구하는 검인정 교과서라는 점을 감안하면 앞으로 모형 개발에 대한 논의가 활발히 이루어질 필요가 있다. 나아가서 실제로 개발된 단원을 학교현장에 제시하고, 이를 교육공동체의 적합성 분석을 거쳐 바람직한 교과서가 개발 보급되기를 기대한다.
