The purposes of this study are to examine the relationship between the possibility of relapse into alcohol dependence and the psychological risk factors. Based on previous studies, we measured dysfunctional attitude, alcohol expectancy, alcohol facilitating belief, depression as psychological risk factors and relapse possibility scale as dependent variable. First, we examined the correlation between dysfunctional attitude, alcohol expectancy, alcohol facilitating belief depression and relapse possibility. Relative effects of the dysfunctional attitude, alcohol expectancy, alcohol facilitating belief, and depression in the patients with alcohol dependence on relapse possibility were examined by stepwise multiple regression. Mediating effects
of depression on the relationship between alcohol-related belief and relapse possibility were also examined.
The subjects were 147 inpatients in alcohol hospitals. The result was that the reliable predictors for relapse possibility of the patients with alcohol dependence were depression, alcohol facilitating belief and dysfunctional attitude. The positive alcohol expectancy was not a significant predictor for relapse possibility. Depression played a mediating role between dysfunctional attitudes and relapse possibility and between alcohol facilitating belief and relapse possibility.

본 연구는 알코올의존의 재발가능성과 심리적 위험요소들과의 관계를 살펴보고자 하였다. 선행 연구들을 바탕으로 해서, 알코올의존의 재발가능성에 영향을 미치는 심리적 요인으로 역기능적 태도, 음주 기대, 음주촉진 신념 및 우울을 측정하였고, 종속변인은 재발경고 척도를 이용하였다. 먼저, 역기능적 태도, 음주 기대, 음주촉진 신념, 우울 및 재발가능성의 상관관계를 살펴보았고, 역기능적 태도, 음주 기대, 음주촉진 신념 및 우울이 재발가능성에 미치는 상대적 영향력을 알아보기 위해 단계적 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다. 또한 음주관련 신념들과 재발가능성의 관계에서 우울의 매개 효과를 살펴보았다. 연구 대상은 입원치료중인 알코올의 존 환자 147명이었다. 연구 결과, 알코올의존의 재발가능성을 유의하게 예측해 주는 심리적 요인은 우울, 음주촉진 신념, 그리고 역기능적 태도였다. 음주에 대한 긍정적 기대는 재발가능성에 대해 유의한 영향력을 미치지는 못했다. 우울의 매개 효과를 검증한 결과, 역기능적
