The purpose of this study is to identify the relationship among Enneagram personality types, depression and anxiety in nursing students. The subjects for this study were 92 nursing students attended a college in Daegu.
The findings of this study were as follows :
In the nine Enneagram personality types, type 9 was highly measured.
In the triadic center of Enneagram personality types, instinct type was highly measured. In
the integration and disruption, the integration rather than disruption was highly measured.
The most development level was level 5.
Mean score of depression was 5.63 and mean score of anxiety was 42.79 There were no significant differences of depression and anxiety related to Enneagram personality types, but feeling type was highly measured depression score and thinking type was highly measured anxiety score.
There was significantly correlation between Enneagram personality types and anxiety.
The results of this study suggest that there is a need of individual guide considering Enneagram
personality types in nursing students. We need to develop various group counseling program
to decrease depression and anxiety according to Enneagram personality types.

본 연구는 간호대학생의 에니어그램 성격유형, 우울 및 불안과의 관계를 파악하기 위하여 D시 소재 일개 간호대학생 1학년 92명을 대상으로 조사․분석하였다.
연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 대상자의 에니어그램 성격유형은 9번 유형이 가장 많았으며 힘의 중심별 유형은 장형이 가장 많았다. 통합과 분열의 방향에서 통합이 더 많았고 발달 수준은 5수준이 가장 많았다. 대상자의 우울은 평균 5.63이었으며 불안은 42.79이었다. 대상자의 성격유형별 우울과 불안에서 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았으나, 가슴형이 우울점수가 가장 높았으며 불안정도는 머리형이 가장 높았다. 에니어그램 성격유형, 우울, 불안과의 상관관계에서는 에니어그램 성격유형과 불안 간에 유의한 정적 상관성을 보였다.
이상의 결과를 통해 다음과 같은 제언을 하고자 한다. 본 연구결과를 일반화하기 위해서 좀더 확대된 대상으로 반복 연구를 할 필요가 있다. 또한 성격유형별 우울과 불안정도 차이를 학생지도에 반영할 필요가 있으며 성격유형별 우울과 불안을 감소시킬 수 있는 다양한 상담 프로그램개발이 필요할 것으로 사료된다.
