The transformation process of Subject & new subject in the poems of Kim Seong Hwi Kim, Eun-young This manuscript researched on the poems of Kim Seong Hwi to experience the development & transformation process of Joseon Tribe's poetic literature & continue his literary activities as the representative poet of Joseon Tribe. The ‘Subject’ discussed in the works of Kim Seong Hwi differs from the ‘Poetic narrator’, in other words, individual subject as the internal factor of text. The poetic subject appeared in his works represents ‘Subject’ as the reflective body of consciousness to others having power politically & ‘Collective subject’. Joseon Tribe has the same ethnic root and shares the same cultural tradition with us. However, this is limited to the internal element of the category recognized & enjoyed within the national unity of the giant others so called China. In the internal subject recognition of Joseon Tribe as the group of emigrant, the Chinese & socialistic features exist beyond the ethnic collectivity. In the works of Kim Seong Hwi, there are groping processes for Joseon Tribe in the crisis of existence loss in the flow of the rapidly changed history to find their own subjectivity. After all, their identity or a sense of sovereignty can be said to be ‘Contingent subject’ & ‘Subject as the process’ which have to be filled newly in the recognition of others to Host Society of China.

본고는 조선족 시문학의 전개와 변화 과정을 체험하며 작품 활동을 지속했던 조선족 대표시인 김성휘 작품세계를 주체의 변모과정을 중심으로 살펴보았다. 김성휘 작품에서 논의되는 ‘주체’는 ‘시적 화자’ 즉 텍스트 내적 요인으로서 개별자적 주체와는 차이가 있다. 그의 작품에 드러난 시적 주체의 모습은 정치적으로 권력화 된 타자에 대한 의식의 반영체로서의 ‘주체’이자 ‘집단적 주체’로서의 모습을 드러낸다. 중국 내 소수민족으로서 민족의 고유 언어를 사용하며 현재까지 민족적 풍습과 전통을 지속해 오고 있는 조선족 삶의 모습이 반영된 김성휘의 작품 세계는 역사적 상황과 시대의 변화 속에서 소수민족으로 생존해야 하는 조선족의 정치적사회적 특성과 주체의식을 확인할 수 있게 해 준다. 조선족은 우리와 민족적 뿌리를 같이하며 동일한 문화적 전통을 공유하고 있다. 하지만 이것은 중국이라는 거대 타자의 국가적 결속 안에서 인정되고 향유되는 범주 내적 요소로 한정된다. 아울러 이민 집단으로 형성된 조선족의 주체 인식 내면에는 민족적 집단성을 넘어선 중국적이고 사회주의적인 특성이 자리 잡고 있다. 그의 작품에는 이와 같은 변화된 상황 속에서 조선족으로서 자신들의 정체성과 주체의식을 찾고자 하는 모색 과정이 드러나 있다. ‘주체’가 타자와의 상호관계 맺음 속에서 새롭게 형성되는 것이라고 할 때 이들의 주체 의식은 따라서 중국이라는 수용사회에 대한 타자인식 속에서 새롭게 채워 넣어져야 하는 ‘불확정적 주체’이자 ‘과정으로서의 새로운 주체’의 모습이라고 할 것이다.
