This research is to know Korean overseas adopted person’s idea &needs about post adoption service which is ongoing by Korean agency. What is their need for the post adoption, how much they satisfy about present post adoption service which is provided by Korean adoption agency. Post adoption service is a very important to help the adopted person’s psycho-social adjustment and their well-being. But present services are tend to simplified without consider adopted person’s age, private condition and special need. So, this research is carried with a very simple and clear questions. We found their need and idea, and it will be used a basic data to develop post adoption service.
Adopted persons who received the post adoption service by Korean adoption agency are satisfied generally with agency's service. But, some of them, 24(27.3%) & 6(6.8%) adopted persons, are not satisfied the service( information received from the service providing agency). Many adopted persons didn't satisfied with the psychological counsel program by Korean agency. We found many adopted persons and adoptive parents don't know well about post adoption service program by Korean adoption agency. Most adopted person and adoptive parents think those services need to improve. It means more good quality and intensive programs are requested in the post adoption service.
From this result, it is said that post adoption service is need to diverse by age group and service programs are need tuning by each their need. For example, Korea culture camp is a very good program for the teens and non-experienced persons. But, for the twenties or thirties group, a kind of ‘search camp’ can be more helpful to understand Korea culture and then to process their search. The main need of adopted person and big part of post adoption service is search for the birth family. Search is not only to know and meet the birth family. It is a journey to find self and reassemble work of their life story. So, there are clear steps and confusion period, and pause time as the case may be. Hopeful service programs include these various stations, and adoption agency should develop more qualitatively post adoption service program.

본 논문은 현재 한국의 입양기관에서 제공되고 있는 사후관리 서비스(입양 후 서비스라는 뜻으로 현
재 사용되고 있는 용어)에 관한 해외 입양인 및 양부모의 경험과 욕구에 대한 조사이다. 해외입양에서 사후관리서비스는 아주 중요하게 인식되어가고 있으며, 해외입양의 지속여부와는 상관없이 입양인을 위해 앞으로도 계속 제공되어질 서비스이다. 따라서 현재 이루어지고 있는 사후관리 서비스에 대해 서비스의 주요 수혜자인 입양인과 양부모의 경험을 알아보고, 또 그들이 어떠한 욕구를 가지고 있는지를 조사함으로서 앞으로 발전된 서비스를 위한 자료로 사용하고자 한다. 본 논문은 이러한 기초적인 자료를 수집하기위한 목적으로 간단하고 단순한 질문들로 구성된 설문조사를 시행하였다.
조사결과, 입양인과 양부모의 절반 정도는 한국의 입양기관에서 제공되고 있는 사후관리 서비스의 내
용에 대해 잘 모르고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 한국의 입양기관에서 모국방문 서비스, 모국어 연수, 친
가족 찾기, 출생배경 정보 찾기, 서신교환 및 상담 서비스가 제공되고 있다는 사실을 모르는 입양인과 양부모가 상당수에 이르고 있음을 의미한다. 또한 입양인이 처음 사후관리 서비스를 이용하는 연령은 20대가 가장 많았으며, 연령별로 서비스 욕구가 다르다는 사실도 발견하였다. 서비스를 이용하는 동기로는 친가족을 찾기 위해서가 가장 많았다. 또한 모국방문의 경험이 있는 사람들의 경우, 방문 동기는 한국문화와 언어를 배우기 위해서가 가장 높게 나타났다.
결론적으로 한국의 입양기관에서 사후관리 서비스를 이용한 경험은 대부분이 긍정적으로 나타났으
나, 서비스 내용에 대한 만족도에서는 낮게 응답한 입양인들도 적지 않았다. 또한 서비스 내용들도 좀 더 개선이 필요하다고 나타났는데, 특히 상담 서비스에 대해서 가장 개선이 필요하다고 응답하였다. 입양인들이 가장 필요하다고 응답한 서비스는 친가족찾기였으며 그 다음으로 한국방문, 한국 문화 경험, 한국어 교육 등이었다. 이러한 서비스들은 현재 제공되고 있는 서비스들이지만 조사 결과에서 나타난것처럼 입양인들이나 양부모가 이제는 보다 질적으로 충실한 서비스를 요구하고 있다는사실을 알 수가 있다.
