This study investigated sex differences in adherence to combined physical activity-defined as meeting both aerobic exercise and resistance exercise guidelines-and identified associated factors among Korean adults (aged < 65 years) with prediabetes. A secondary analysis was conducted using the 2022 Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, enrolling 494 adults who met the inclusion criteria. Data were analyzed using complex sample procedures, including chi-square tests, general linear models, and logistic regression. Adherence to both exercise types was significantly higher in males than in females. While obesityrelated indices (BMI, WC, BFP) were common associated factors in both sexes, distinct sex-specific predictors emerged: in males, income and marital status were significant, whereas in females, economic activity, subjective health perception, and hemoglobin levels were significantly associated. Physical activity among prediabetic adults is low, particularly in females. Engagement is associated with diverse sociodemographic and biological factors, underscoring the need for sex-specific, targeted interventions.

본 연구는 한국의 65세 미만 당뇨병 전단계 성인을 대상으로 성별에 따른 복합 신체활동(유산소 신체활동 및 주 2회 이상의 근력운동) 실천 양상과 관련 요인을 확인하고자 하였다. 2022년 국민건강영양조사 (KNHANES)를 활용하여 2차 분석을 실시하였으며, 선정 기준을 만족한 성인 494명을 최종 분석 대상으 로 하였다. 데이터 분석은 복합표본 분석법을 적용하여 기술통계, 카이제곱 검정, 일반선형모델, 로지스 틱 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 유산소 및 근력운동을 모두 실천하는 비율은 남성이 여성보다 유의하게 높았다. 남녀 모두에서 비만 관련 지표인 체질량지수(BMI), 허리둘레(WC), 체지방률(BFP)이 공통적인 관련 요인이었다. 그러나, 남성의 경우 개인 소득 수준과 혼인 상태, 여성에서는 경제활동 여부, 주관적 건강인지, 혈색소 수치가 유의하게 관련되어 있었다. 당뇨병 전단계 성인의 신체활동 실천 율은 전반적으로 매우 낮으며, 특히 여성에서 더 저조하였다. 신체활동 실천은 사회인구학적 및 생물학적 요인과 복합적으로 연관되어 있으며, 이에 따라 사회문화적 장벽과 생리적 요인을 고려한 성별 맞춤형 개입 전략이 요구된다.
