Dementia causes cognitive decline and behavioral disturbances, making it difficult to maintain daily life, increasing the burden on caregivers. In this study, using raw data from the 2024 Community Health Survey, we analyzed factors influencing the well-being of caregivers of dementia patients using hierarchical regression analysis. Looking at the analysis results, the factors influencing happiness were subjective stress (β=.29, p<.001), subjective health level (β=-.28, p<.001), depression (β=.14, p<.001), exercise ability (β=-.13, p<.001), no lifetime smoking (β=.09, p<.001), no diabetes diagnosis (β=-.03, p=.017), and among general characteristics, college graduate or higher (β=.10, p<.001), high school graduate (β=.05, p=.019), and no spouse (β=-.09, p<.001). These variables explained 36% of the subjects' happiness, and the model fit was also statistically significant (F=109.96, p<.001). This study is significant as it provides foundational data for developing programs to enhance the happiness of dementia patient caregivers, based on the identified variables, and for guiding relevant policy decisions.

치매는 인지 기능의 저하와 행동장애를 동반하여 환자의 일상생활 수행 능력을 현저히 저해하며, 이에 따라 치매 환자를 돌보는 보호자의 부담도 가중되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 2024년 지역사회건강조사 원시자료를 활용하여 치매 환자를 돌보는 보호자의 행복감의 영향 요인을 위계적 회귀분석(hierarchical regression)으로 분석하였다. 분석 결과를 살펴보면, 행복감에 영향을 미치는 요인은 주관적 스트레스(β =.29, p<.001), 주관적 건강수준(β=-.28, p<.001), 우울감(β=.14, p<.001), 운동능력(β=-.13, p<.001), 평생 흡연 무(β=.09, p<.001), 당뇨병 진단 무(β=-.03, p=.017)와 일반적 특성 중에서는 최종학력 중 대학교 졸업 이상(β=.10, p<.001), 고등학교 졸업(β=.05, p=.019)와 배우자 없음(β=-.09, p<.001) 순으로 나타났 다. 이들 변수가 대상자의 행복감을 36%을 설명하며, 모델 적합도도 통계적으로 유의하였다(F=109.96, p<.001). 본 연구에서 도출된 변수들을 기반으로 치매 환자 보호자의 행복감 효과를 극대화하기 위한 프로그램 개발과 이에 대한 정책방향을 설정하는 기초자료를 제공한다는 점에서 의의가 있다.
