This study investigated ignition caused by the insulation degradation of electric wiring, which is the leading cause(19.42%) of electric fire accidents in South Korea. The research analyzed insulation degradation characteristics under high temperature and prolonged continuous operation conditions, specifically focusing on health functional food manufacturing facilities due to their demanding processes. The primary aim was to propose management strategies to prevent fires resulting from such degradation. The methodology involved a five-year measurement of insulation resistance for equipment within health functional food manufacturing facilities aging processes, revealing trends and rapid decreases in specific electric wiring. Through this trend analysis, proactive management solutions were developed to address insulation degradation before it reaches a critical threshold. These findings are expected to be highly effective as management countermeasures for preventing insulation degradation in health functional food manufacturing facilities and other food manufacturing industries operating under similar high-temperature, long-duration conditions.

본 연구는 국내 전기적 요인에 의한 화재사고의 최다(19.42%) 원인이 되는 전기배선의 절연열화에 따른 발화에 관한 것으로 절연피복에 영향을 끼치는 고온 및 장시간 연속운전으로 인한 절연열화 특성을 분석하고자 하였다. 특히, 유효성분 추출, 숙성 등 고온과 장시간 운전조건이 많은 건강기능식품제조업의 전기배선 절연저항을 분석하였고, 이의 결과를 절연열화에 따른 발화 방지를 위한 관리방안으로 제시하 고자 하였다. 연구방법으로는 숙성공정에 대한 설비별 절연저항을 5년간 측정하여 감소 또는 변화추이를 확인하였으며, 분석결과 특정시기에 급격한 감소경향을 나타낸 전기배선을 추적할 수 있었고, 경향분석 을 통해 절연열화 임계치에 도달하기 전 대응 가능한 관리방안을 도출할 수 있었다. 본 연구의 결과는 건강기능식품제조업과 고온 및 장시간 연속운전 조건을 가진 식료품제조업에서의 절연열화 방지를 위한 관리대책으로 유효화게 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
