This study aimed to identify factors influencing clinical competence in nursing students, focusing on self-directed learning, grit, and clinical practice stress. Data were collected from 219 third- and fourth-year students in City C between November 5 and December 3, 2024. Data were analyzed using SPSS/WIN 20.0 with descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation, and multiple regression. The regression model was statistically significant (F=10.62, p<.001). Significant predictors included academic year (β=.182, p=.002), self-directed learning (β=.393, p<.001), grit (β=.095, p=.030), and clinical practice stress (β=-.110, p=.033), explaining 39.8% of the variance. Students with higher self-directed learning and grit, and lower stress, showed better clinical competence. These results highlight the need for both psychological and educational support. Thus, implementing effective strategies to reduce stress and enhance learning motivation is essential. Promoting self-directed learning and grit can meaningfully improve nursing students’ clinical performance.

본 연구는 간호대학생의 자기주도적 학습, 그릿, 임상실습 스트레스가 임상수행능력에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하고자 실시하였다. 자료 수집은 C시 지역의 간호대학생 3, 4학년 219명을 대상으로 2024년 11월 5일부터 12월 3일까지 하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS/WIN 20.0 통계프로그램을 이용하여 빈도와 백분율, 평균과 표준편차, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation, Multiple regression으로 분석하였다. 본 연구 결과, 임상수행능력에 영향을 미치는 요인을 검정하기 위해 다중회귀분석을 하였고, 분석한 결과 회귀모형은 유의한 것으로 나타났으며(F=10.62, p<.001), 임상수행능력에 유의한 설명력을 갖는 요인은 학년(β=.182, p=.002), 자기주도적 학습(β=.393, p<.001), 그릿(β=.095, p=.030), 임상실습 스트레스(β =-.110, p=.033)로 나타났으며, 임상수행능력에 대한 설명력은 39.8%이었다. 결론적으로 간호대학생의 자기주도적 학습 수준이 높고, 그릿이 강할수록, 임상실습 스트레스가 낮으면 임상수행능력이 높았다. 따라서 간호대학생의 임상수행능력을 높여주기 위해서는 임상실습 스트레스를 감소시킬 방안을 모색하 고, 자기주도적 학습, 그릿 증진을 위한 다양한 접근 및 프로그램 개발 및 적용이 필요할 것으로 보인다.
